The Hendrix-Echo

That is a 60ies-style echo. It records the signal on an endless tape and plays it right after recording. The distance between the two (record and play) heads determins the delay.

We saw this echo when Don and I did our local instrument-shop checkup. We visited one of our favourite shops, Sound Circus, where we met a former top-guitarist, who showed uns this rarity. It was a really cool and funny meeting.

Well, this echo squeaks and will, maybe, fall apart in the near future, but it sounds – despite some noise – incredibly well 😉
